HE TAONGA O TE WAIRUA

OUR CHARISM

St Leo’s Catholic School is part of a Christ centered community of faith founded by the Mercy Sisters in 1893. The school values reflect the Mercy values and these are lived out in our school life. We educate the whole child, promoting total development of mind, body and spirit, uplifting both excellence and integrity amongst all students and in all school endeavours.

TIKANGA A AHUREA

CULTURAL RESPONSIVENESS

We acknowledge that we live in a bicultural society so Tikanga and Te Reo are woven into our curriculum, planning and used in classroom programmes and celebrations. Customs and beliefs are celebrated though our Catholic character, RE programme and learning at St Leo’s. We endeavour to consult our Maori community regularly.
