Welcome to St Leo’s Catholic School
We pride ourselves on being a small, family orientated school with small class sizes and experienced and passionate teachers. Our Catholic School is part of a Christ centred community of faith guided by our Mercy values. We aim to educate the whole child – mind, body and spirit – promoting both excellence and integrity in all our students.

 

We are not zoned so all enrolments are welcome.

Nau Mai Haere Mai,

My name is Vimi Chandra and I am very proud as principal to lead and serve St Leo’s Catholic School. Our school values of compassion, hospitality, respect, service and social justice are extremely important to us and are the essence of our school curriculum. St Leo’s students stand proud and strong in their faith. They respect themselves, others and creation. Our students are encouraged to be active participants in their school/parish community.

At St Leo’s, we want children to feel happy and secure to develop self confidence in a safe and supportive environment where learning is central to all that we do. Through our rich curriculum we aim to develop the whole child and encourage our students to strive for excellence. To enable this to happen, our very dedicated teachers aim to prepare our students for a future that is ever changing. This learning is underpinned by our Mercy values and encapsulates our mission “to love, to learn, to grow in faith”.

At St Leo’s we embrace the opportunity to teach your child the skills, knowledge and attitudes to become confident, creative and curious learners who are connected to the community and wider world. Dear Parents


We are looking for helpers for Thursday 18th June from 1.45pm to help peel and chop vegetables for the hangi.  


Can you please let us know if you are able to make it before pick-up to help. 


BYO peeler, sharp knife and chopping board (we all have our favourites).

Matariki Whanau Evening

Dear Parents


As you are aware we are holding our Matariki Whanau evening on the 19th June starting at 5pm


We would like all our students to be there to perform that evening at 5pm.  The Kapa Haka group will lead this.  
Kapa Haka children will need to arrive and report to St Clare to get changed into their Kapa Haka uniform.
Can you please confirm that your child will  be available.  Children not staying for dinner can leave after the performance.
Please note we are selling hangi for $12 but you need to book this by Tuesday 16th for catering purposes.  This is a family evening so all are welcome.

Thank you to those people who brought in cans


Don't forget to get your tickets for the Matariki Whanau Kai evening on June 19th

We would also like all year 3 - 6 children there to perform in the Kapa Haka group even if they are not staying for dinner.

Helpers are also still needed for preparation on Wednesday and Friday.

 

Don't forget to book your time for parent/teacher interviews on Skool Loop.
